Yes, I use Photoshop and I got CS5 on Saturday, it took some getting used to because I had CS4 for a very long time :)

I didn't really use a tut, I just watched my good friend The Names Jer make his Chelsea kits and I learned from that... Good Luck Though :)

Might encourage you to make more kits TechFit or Nike Pro (the TechFit Nike, ie without the lines).
